The State of Utah filed this interlocutory appeal from an order granting defendant Gerard Lopezs motion to suppress evidence obtained as a result of a police traffic stop and subsequent inventory search of defendants vehicle. On appeal, the State argues the trial court erred in: (1) determining the police officer did not have a reasonable suspicion to believe the driver was driving without a license, and (2) determining the stop was a pretext stop. We reverse and remand.
